Our elegantly proportioned house has been sympathetically decorated to enhance the original features, but also to showcase an eclectic collection of modern design, from furniture and lighting to textiles, art and printed ephemera.Shaftesbury is a picturesque hill-top town in beautiful North Dorset. Our house is an easy walk away from excellent cafés, restaurants and delightful independent shops. The town has breath-taking views across three counties and the surrounding countryside has some of the finest eating pubs in England.Our bedrooms have comfortable beds with crisp white linen, dvd-tvs, a carefully chosen selection of books, films and music, and the en-suite bathrooms are sleek and modern, with complimentary Korres products to help you relax and unwind.Breakfast is served in our bright and airy guests' lounge, which also has a snug sitting area with an open fire, comfy chairs, and shelves packed with art and design books, novels and music. Directions

Travelling from the north and westIf you are travelling along the A30 from the west, or the A350 from the north (this is the road that connects Shaftesbury with the A303), you will approach Shaftesbury on the Ivy Cross roundabout, where there is an Esso petrol station. Take the exit signposted for the A30 and A350 towards Salisbury, Fontmell Magna and Poole this stretch of road is Christy's Lane. You will pass the Longmead Veterinary practice on the left. Ampersand House is next left you will see the Chalet BandB on the left and we share a driveway our parking area is to the right.Travelling from the south and eastIf you are travelling along the A30 from the east, or the A350 from the south, you will approach Shaftesbury on a large roundabout, where there is a large hotel, the Royal Chase. Take the exit signposted for the A30 and A350 towards Sherborne and Warminster this stretch of road is Christy's Lane. You will pass another roundabout with a turning for Tesco go straight ahead here. After another 300 metres you will see a fire station on the right. Ampersand House is next to the fire station and our turning is next right you will see the Chalet BandB on the left and we share a driveway our parking area is to the right.
